How It Works
We are a business membership organization of entrepreneurial, local leaders, sharing our business expertise, exchanging referrals and promoting the success of member firms.
Keys to our success
We uphold integrity, ethics and enthusiasm. We provide a forum for professional development and cooperative relationships among member firms. Ongoing sharing of each others’ knowledge and talents within builds respect and creates an informed referral network.
We all share a love for Sonoma and for contributing individually to the community. Our members are out there serving on boards and/or supporting numerous community causes, including:
Boys & Girls Club, CYO, Sonoma Chamber of Commerce, ReScape California, River Friendly/Bay Friendly Green Gardeners, Rotary Club, Sonoma Community Center, Sonoma League for Historic Preservation, Sonoma Plein Air, Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance, Sonoma Valley Mother’s Club, Sonoma Valley Unified School District.
We meet weekly in Sonoma on Thursday mornings from 7:30-8:30 am. Each member has a platform to sharpen their “30-second Promo” not only for their own benefit but also to make it easy for fellow members to recommend their specialty to to others outside the group. There is a time for members to share business news, successes and any requests. Referrals are shared.
Each week one member shares their expertise in a 20 minute presentation. Speakers rotate weekly. This is a really fun time to learn new things and have a deeper understanding of our talented allies and what they can do.
We also have the occasional breakfast meeting for more social time, organize professional development events for the community, and can do a mean white elephant at our annual Holiday Party.
Who is Eligible:
Our members are local to Sonoma Valley — either as an owner or employee of a business located in Sonoma Valley, or as a resident of Sonoma Valley (and some are both).
Our model is one member/firm per business category, so that our dynamic is always in support of one another and never competitive (…except perhaps for who gives the most leads or wins the holiday white elephant!)
Applying for Membership
After visiting for up to 2 meetings to check us out, our Membership Chair, Tracy Reynes can answer any questions. She’ll get an application and our dues structure to you (dues are collected twice yearly and prorated to your join date). Processing takes usually about a week, the membership votes, then you’re in and can start attending!
We have member openings in many fields.
To name just a few:
Interior Designer • Photographer • Healthcare Professional (various) • Nutrition and/or Fitness Expert • Hair Salon • Skincare • Building Industry - Contractor, Painter, Electrician, Plumber, Tile Installer, etc. • Handy/Home Repairs • Financial Advisor • Certified Public Accountant • Event Planner • Floral Designer • Chef / Caterer • Massage Therapist • Psychologist • Business Coach • Professional Organizer • Social Media Consultant • Pet Groomer • Veterinarian • Videographer • Cleaning Business • and more……………...Let’s talk!
This group has not only hand delivered several great design projects to me in the 5 years I’ve been a member, but they’ve become friends I really enjoy seeing each week. When I leave our morning meetings, I’m energized and start my business day on a great foot.
